Thanks everyone...

This has been the most heart breaking two weeks of my life and I thank everyone who sent me kind words, tears and kisses. I needed every one of them. I'm finally able to talk to people who ask me "Where's the puppy?" without crying, so that's a good sign, but yet I still keep one of her dirty stuffies in my night table and sometimes I just fall asleep with it (usually crying, but I need to get it out). I miss her so much yet I know she's better now.

I'm posting a bunch of my favourite Ruby photos (all of them :) and this will be my last post on her blog.

As if it were meant to be and to fix my broken heart, Ruby's parents had another gang of kids two days before Ruby passed away. On September 8th, Ruby's little sister- Hazel (I love old lady names...) will be coming to live with me and one of her brother's (Tommy) will be living with my mom (who hated chihuahuas until she met Ruby... go figure). I look forward to spoiling another little girl and can't wait to get back on the road to loving a new little soul.

Over the Rainbow Bridge...

My heart breaks to let everyone know that Ruby passed away today around 11am. She wasn't in any pain and had a condition that caused her many seizures- though after a week of every possible test available we were not able to pin point the exact cause. After a week of her being hospitalized I took her home on Friday night. I'm glad I had these past couple of days to cuddle her. Her little body just couldn't hold on and she fell into what the vet describes as a coma, though she was awake. She didn't fuss or cry and just laid on my shoulder while she went to sleep. She truly was my little baby and my constant companion and I'll miss her so much. I hope she's already eating as much ice cream as possible and burying weiners for a late night snack.

She's back...

Well, after a short time being away- she's back. It's been a long haul and lots has happened. I'll get everything up to date asap. But just for those already in the know, Ruby has been really sick for the past week. She's been in emergency care at the vet hospital and on Saturday will be taken to Vancouver for an MRI. This is our last go of tests to find out what has been causing her terrible seizures. We're up to our tatas in bills now, but Ruby really is my baby and I have to do whatever I can to pull her thru. Sweet Saidie's Mom is my BF and I've done alot of crying while telling her what's going on. I can't wait for Saidie to be back over here tearing the hell out of my back lawn while Ruby sits on my lap and wonders why...

I'll start loading more pictures of Ruby and get her updates going. In the mean time...fingers and paws crossed for Ruby Ruuuuuu.
